CCWD is required to comply with the requirements of the California Urban Water Management Planning Act. The Act requires CCWD to have and maintain an Urban Water Management Plan that must include a water conservation component. Complying with the state’s mandate, we will be providing customers with information and environmentally-friendly ways to make the most efficient use of water. We have some great web-links shown below – please visit some of these sites.

CCWD has sufficient water supplies for all customer uses. But our supplies are surface water, and that supply can be affected by very lengthy periods of drought. And components of the distribution system have design limitations in delivering water to our customers. Conservation measures can make these limitations invisible to customers.

Conservation measures can help to:
Reduce customer bills through wise and efficient use of water
Spread the use of water to help reduce/delay costly new or expanded facilities
Minimize waste of our precious resource - water.
