Mokelumne/Amador/Calaveras Integrated Regional Water Management Plan Update

The Mokelumne/Amador/Calaveras Integrated Water Management Region was formed in 2006 to:

Foster coordination, collaboration and communication among regional and local agencies responsible for water-related issues
Achieve greater efficiencies in project development and implementation;
Build public support for vital projects
Identify the most important water-related projects according to a set of criteria
Improve regional competitiveness for project funding.

An Integrated Regional Water Management Plan (IRWMP) was developed for the region to identify projects and measures to be implemented to meet these goals.

The 2006 M/A/C IRWMP was based on Proposition 50 guidelines as interpreted by the California Department of Water Resources and the State Water Resources Control Board. With the passage of Proposition 84 and 1E, the statewide standards for the IRWMPs will be updated. The M/A/C IRWMP will be updated to be consistent with the new and upcoming guidelines.
