La Contenta STP uses a Bio-lac activated sludge pond and then a tiled drying facility. The liquid is filtered and then chlorinated. Effluent is stored in CCWD storage ponds for use by the La Contenta Golf Course. The capacity is 170,000 gallons per day (gpd). The average dry weather flow is 90,000-100,000 gpd.
