Engaging the Next Generation in California Water - December 7, 2016
Attracting and engaging the next generation of water professionals and leaders has emerged as a key priority for California water agencies. To address this challenge, the Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA) is developing a suite of tools and opportunities to help develop young professionals and introduce and engage the next generation of water leaders.
See CCWD General Manager Dave Eggerton’s comments in this video at 3:38 p.m.
The first tool created by ACWA is a short video that illuminates the challenge presented by an imminent wave of looming retirements and some of the innovative agencies responding to the issue.
Preparing for the next generation in our workforce is not a question of if, but when. Millennials are the largest generation to enter the workforce in decades and will shape the future of the workplace in our industry.
