Planned Water Outage in Arnold, Monday April 3

March 30, 2017

The Calaveras County Water District is planning to interrupt water service for about 200 homes and 12 businesses in Arnold from 8 a.m. to noon Monday April 3. This water service outage is necessary to allow the District to perform a pipeline tie-in, which is part of the ongoing Reach 3A Transmission Pipeline Replacement Project.

Residential customers that may be impacted:

  • All of Mill Woods
  • Sequoia Street
  • Fir Street
  • Cedar Street
  • Part of Dunbar Road
  • Part of Maple Street
  • Parts of Lilac Part

Businesses that may be impacted:

  • Chevron Station
  • Arnold Ace Home Center
  • Post Office
  • Blue Lake Springs Mutual Water Co. Headquarters
  • JJ’s Dive
  • El Vaquero
  • Bristol’s Ranch House Cafe
  • Ebbetts Pass Gas
  • Cameo Plaza
  • Arnold Automotive and Tire
  • Colleen’s
  • A Class Act

After constructions projects such as this, it is common for residents and businesses to experience discolored water. It’s important to remember that even if the water is discolored, it is completely safe to drink and poses no health risk. However, the District recommends that customers avoid washing loads of laundry using bleach when experiencing discolored water, because it can lead to clothing being stained. If customers do experience discolored water and would like to flush their personal plumbing systems, they can turn on an outside faucet at the lowest point of their properties and let it run until the water turns clear.

Those with questions or concerns about this planned water service disruption may contact the CCWD Customer Service Department at 209-754-3543 or email customerservice@ccwd.org.
