Reach 3A Project Update: April 21-May 5 - April 20, 2017

With the improved weather conditions, CCWD’s contractor (T&S Construction) has been able to resume work on the Reach 3A Pipeline Replacement Project. Construction generally begins at 7 a.m. and ends around 3:30 p.m. Here’s the proposed construction schedule for the next two weeks (this schedule is subject to change).

Construction update: April 21-May 5

April 21 and 24: Crews will be excavating an area to place a large pressure-reducing valve at the intersection of Sequoia Way and Willow Street. This work will involve heavy equipment and the road will be closed during construction hours. Motorists should use Manuel Road as a detour.

April 25-28: Crews will be removing an old pressure-reducing valve and excavating an area to place a new pressure-reducing valve at the intersection of Fir Street and Manuel Road.  This work will involve heavy equipment and there will be traffic control during construction hours. Residents of Mill Woods may experience delays coming and going from their homes.

May 1-5: Crews will be installing new 12-inch pipe from the west end of Sequoia Way heading east across Manuel Road and ending on Fir Street near the Mini Storage. This work will involve traffic delays and heavy construction equipment will be moving in and out of the area.

As of April 2017, T&S Construction has replaced about 15,000 feet of pipeline and another 4,000 feet remain – the project is about 80 percent finished. The remaining portions of pipeline that need to be replaced are from Pine Drive through Oak Court to Sequoia Street, and from Manuel Road down Fir Street to Dunbar Road to Blagen Road by the Arnold Library.  Substantial completion of the project is expected to be in July 2017.
