Summer Work Opportunity at CCWD

We are proud to announce the inaugural summer work program at the Calaveras County Water District, a program dedicated to the memory of Dylan Cuneo, a beloved team member whose dedication to our community and the water industry inspired us all. This program is designed to honor Dylan’s legacy by providing high school students with the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the vital work of water and wastewater management.

About the Program

This summer work program offers high school students the chance to gain hands-on experience in the water and wastewater field, while also honoring the impact Dylan had on our district. Additionally, students will obtain hands-on learning and exposure to the vital operations that ensure clean, safe drinking water and proper wastewater treatment for our community. Students will work alongside professionals in the water and wastewater industry, assisting with daily operations, monitoring water quality, and learning about sustainable practices – all while carrying forward the spirit of service and dedication that Dylan embodied.

Program Details

  • Duration: June 15th to July 17th
  • Location: 120 Toma Court, San Andreas, CA 95249
  • Hours: Up to 40 hours per week
  • Stipend: $20 per hour

Program Opportunities:

  • Water Treatment Operations & Distribution: Learn about the processes that ensure clean, safe drinking water for the community.
  • Wastewater Treatment & Collections: Get hands-on experience in managing wastewater and maintaining environmental health.
  • Engineering: Help support Engineers and Inspectors on active projects and projects in design.
  • Administration: Support various departments in the main office from Accounting, Customer Service, External Affairs, Information Technology, and Water Resources.
